Welcome to MGI or Micro Gods Inc., a Family Club for fans of Science Fiction, Fantasy, Movie, Anime & Manga!!!
We are fans who would like to share our enthusiasm for the wonderful works of the imagination found in these genres. We also want to encourage the younger generation to check out the great works from the past in books, comics and more as well as all the new works being written and drawn today. We also want to learn from the younger generation who have shown us that more and more SF&F is showing up in Anime and even Videogames.
MGI meets every 2nd Saturday from 1 - 5pm, Free, at the West Branch of the Berkeley Public Library, 1125 University Ave. at San Pablo Ave., Berkeley, CA 510-981-6270 library info. Family activities begin most meetings followed by adults having a chance to visit while the younger generations continue with kid-friendly activities like Legos, art, puzzles, games, stuffed animals, space/SF&F toys or stories, etc. Low-cost childcare by teens available, any teens willing to do childcare will split the pot at the end of the meeting, families unable to afford childcare welcome to come and be responsible for their own children. Please contact organizers before dropping off children without adults to make arrangements. Contact Debra Grace Khattab or Ken Siegel at 510-526-5985 or email dgkks at sbcglobal dot net, or Harvey Hecht at harveyhecht at hotmail dot com for more info.
